Real app screenshots
The screenshots show the existing SAOLA Android interface, captured on 5 October 2026. The map shows an Australian wildlife Group in Tasmania. The country selector shows downloaded countries on a test device; it does not mean countries download automatically. Screenshots are scaled and compressed for this website, without changing app content.
The map contains © OpenStreetMap contributors data, available under the Open Database Licence, and the Leaflet map interface. Map attribution is retained inside the screenshot and repeated here. This website loads a static screenshot, not live map tiles.

Wildlife observation data
SAOLA country packs include GBIF-distributed records from providers such as eBird, iNaturalist and Observation.org. Pack-specific citations, licences and individual photo credits are available in the app. This website does not publish an observation dataset or transfer third-party content rights.
Recording effort and species coverage vary between places, providers and years. Many records of a species do not give a probability of seeing it. Sensitive locations may be generalized. A record is neither current occupancy proof nor an access or travel recommendation.
Current and future functionality
The Android app provides wildlife maps, Seen lists, Species Groups and downloadable country data. Personalised area ranking, Route, Trainer, accounts and a web planning workspace are not available features. Country availability on this site is a dated snapshot; the app's Data packs page is the current reference.
